About Us
The Mechatronics and Automation Cluster has been established on the 22 of December 2006. Its members are high-tech companies and scientific bodies in the field of instrument-building, hard ware and soft ware. In addition to the wide range of know-how the Cluster’s members create state-of-the art high-tech products exported to highly developed European countries as Germany, France, Spain, Sweden, Great Britain as well as the United States, China, Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea, India, Brazil and Mexico.
At the 12.05.2009 the Cluster Mechatronics and Automation was re-register and number of members of the cluster was exaggerated. The members of the Cluster you can see in section "Structure".
Mechatronics and automation are supposed to be a bridge in the future between industrial systems combining mechanics, electronics and software. The Clusters up going steps are to be in the direction to new export oriented possibilities for high-tech products and services with high surplus value.
The Cluster is open for new members due to its strategy for permanent integrating of R&D, technological, productive and export-oriented options.
The Cluster will constantly bring up to date its cooperation with the regional authorities in Blagoevgrad. Its members will seek for new cooperation in the country and abroad, stressing on the trans-border cooperation
The Cluster’s innovative potential cannot do without future participation in the EU programs for Bulgaria, the National Innovation Fund, the 7th Frame Program, etc.
The Cluster will support the future establishment of a high-tech park “Mechatronics and Automation”.
All members of the Cluster are deeply convinced that Blagoevgrad and the South-West region as a whole has a bright future for developing well organized industrial sectors, especially in the field of machine-building, electronics, informatics and mechatronics. The region has a good cooperation with prestigious scientific organizations. The Cluster gives good opportunities for future cooperation between basic local industrial units focusing increasing regional competitiveness in electronics, informatics and mechatronics, software and hardware products and services in the period 2008-2013.
Based on the future integration of their R%D, production and export oriented opportunities the Cluster members are going to look for new trade niches for high-tech products.
One of the most important aims of the Cluster is to guarantee good technological environment for education and qualification of young experts for their active realization here, in Bulgaria. To have good chances for them to join prestigious projects opening ways to wider world markets – this is for sure a leading ambition of the people who gave birth to the Mechatronics and Automation Cluster.
